SIROCCO Playing Cards
A fully custom deck of playing cards for magicians, cardists, and collectors - in 2 editions: MODERN and WEATHERED.
Sirocco is a force of nature - a blistering Mediterranean wind, and an idea that a journey's hardships make the prize that much sweeter.
Printed in EU, and created in collaboration with Riffle Shuffle Playing Card Co.
In the Weathered Edition no two pips are the same. Each piece has been redrawn and textured with a unique style of halftone that symbolizes the wind scraping over the art and blowing pieces away.
This edition is more than just a color change: the theme is a holiday celebration rendered in sunny Amalfi colors, but everything has been "weathered" by the journey. This version also contains some unique designs not found in the Modern Edition.
The Modern Edition is beautifully stamped with gold and silver foil. The embossing was meticulously planned to produce a debossed effect in select areas as well.
This is my debut deck of playing cards. I don't know when, or even if there will be a second deck, but having "weathered" the initial challenge of my dream to design playing cards, I can only feel there's a lot more to explore in this medium, and it's going to be an even wilder ride!
